Straight shafts feature two unbent shaft pieces joined together by a composite ferrule. The shafts are drilled with two feathering positions, 0 and 60 degrees for touring. The higher feathering angle helps to eliminate drag from the wind, aids in stability as the blade pulls through the water, and helps to reduce wrist strain. This carbon hybrid is significantly lighter than the fiberglass shaft, but still offers stiffness and rigidity of equal caliber. A lighter shaft will generally be less fatiguing and will allow you to paddle for longer periods of time. Carbon also adds a bit more flex to the shafts, which aids in reducing overall fatigue. A great choice for touring. Available in lengths 210-230 cm. This product is part of the Lendal Paddlok System. All blade and shaft sets are sold separately.
